About the role and team

Our growing Housing Litigation team is looking for an Associate-level Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate to join our Birmingham or Manchester Office. You’ll provide expert advice and representation to landlords, including housing associations, local authorities, charity landlords, and co-operatives across England.

You'll handle a range of cases, including:

· Anti-social behaviour injunctions

· Defending disrepair claims & supervising legal assistants

· Environmental Protection Act prosecutions

· Possession claims, including Equality Act & mental capacity defences

· Residential leasehold & shared ownership disputes

· Housing management advice, policy reviews & legislative updates

You'll join a dynamic 10-person team in Birmingham, part of a 17-person Housing Litigation team across Birmingham and Manchester. We offer hybrid working (two days in our newly refurbished office, three remote), regular court attendance, and full IT, secretarial, and PA support.

We're looking for someone who is:

· Experienced in housing or residential leasehold litigation

· Confident in advocacy and keen to handle hearings

· A team player with strong delegation skills

· Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines

· An excellent communicator who provides practical, legally sound advice
