About the role and team

Our award-winning Planning team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer to help us deliver exceptional advice across a diverse range of sectors, including local government, housing, and ecclesiastical clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with talented colleagues, and make a real impact in communities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise on, draft, and negotiate complex Section 106 agreements for major developments.
Provide legal support at planning committees and handle complex planning queries.
Progress compulsory purchase orders and advise on regeneration schemes.
Collaborate with property lawyers on town centre regeneration projects.
Deliver training to clients and attend networking events to support business development.

About the candidate

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled lawyer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about planning law. You’ll bring:

3+ years PQE with significant experience in planning matters.
Expertise in Section 106 agreements, compulsory purchase orders, and advisory work.
Confidence in providing legal support at planning committees and handling appeals.
A willingness to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team growth.
Strong communication skills and an interest in client training and networking.
