About the role and team

Our award-winning Planning team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer to help us deliver exceptional advice across a diverse range of sectors, including local government, housing, and ecclesiastical clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with talented colleagues, and make a real impact in communities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on, draft, and negotiate complex Section 106 agreements for major developments.
  • Provide legal support at planning committees and handle complex planning queries.
  • Progress compulsory purchase orders and advise on regeneration schemes.
  • Collaborate with property lawyers on town centre regeneration projects.
  • Deliver training to clients and attend networking events to support business development.

About the candidate

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled lawyer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about planning law. You’ll bring:

  • 3+ years PQE with significant experience in planning matters.
  • Expertise in Section 106 agreements, compulsory purchase orders, and advisory work.
  • Confidence in providing legal support at planning committees and handling appeals.
  • A willingness to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team growth.
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in client training and networking.
