At Anthony Collins Solicitors, our purpose is clear, to improve lives, communities, and society. As we deliver on our Strategy 2030, we’re seeking a talented Bids & Proposals Manager to help drive our continued growth and success. The role is open to Birmingham and Manchester locations.

This is a pivotal role within our Marketing & Business Development team, leading the creation of compelling, client-focused proposals that win new business and strengthen our position as a leading social purpose law firm.

You’ll collaborate closely with sector leads, lawyers, and senior stakeholders to shape winning strategies, manage the end-to-end bid process, and mentor a talented team to deliver consistently excellent results.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the development and delivery of high-quality bids and proposals across all our sectors.

  • Driving bid strategy and planning – from identifying opportunities to crafting win themes and go-to-market approaches.

  • Managing and developing a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinating complex submissions, ensuring deadlines, compliance, and brand alignment are met.

  • Maintaining and developing our library of bid content, templates, and case studies to support future success.

  • Analysing bid performance and sharing insights that shape future opportunities and strategies.

  • Partnering with marketing and business development colleagues to align bid activity with our firmwide growth objectives.

About the candidate

 What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience managing bids or proposals in a professional services or similar environment.

  • Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.

  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail, with a flair for producing persuasive and engaging content.

  • A strategic thinker who can translate business goals into winning bid strategies.

  • Experience leading, developing, or mentoring a team.

  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a passion for delivering high-quality work that makes a difference
