About the role and team

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Change and Adoption Manager in the development and delivery of IT training programs for both existing and new software applications, systems, and hardware. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering training to diverse groups of staff and partners across the organisation. The role involves a hybrid work arrangement based in Birmingham.

 
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
 
  • Develop and Deliver Training: Design and conduct training sessions on Microsoft Office Suite and other software tools used in legal environments, delivered through in-person, remote, or group formats.
  • Induction Training: Lead induction sessions for new employees to ensure they effectively use IT systems and software.
  • Hardware Training: Provide group training on hardware such as laptops and office equipment.
  • Organise and Promote Training: Coordinate training programs to ensure high engagement and participation.
  • Create Training Materials: Develop training resources, including manuals and guides, to support staff and partners.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Work with software providers to access updated training materials and resolve technical issues.
  • Explore New Training Technologies: Implement modern training solutions such as webinars and e-learning platforms.
  • Maintain IT Knowledge: Continuously improve your training skills and IT knowledge through professional development.
  • Support IT Team: Assist the IT team when needed.
  • Provide Additional Training: Deliver training on other IT topics as needed.
  • Other Duties: Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested.

About the candidate

  We are currently looking for a candidate with the following skills/experience:
 
  • Proven Training Experience: Experience as a technical trainer, particularly with Microsoft Office and software used in legal environments.
  • Training Expertise: Strong understanding of modern training methods and adult learning principles.
  • Intermediate/Advanced MS Office Skills/Law Systems: Expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential; knowledge of other MS Office tools is essential and any knowledge of law systems is desired but not essential.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present technical content clearly and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Content Development: Experience creating user-friendly training materials tailored to specific audiences.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time-management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple training priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage with colleagues at all levels and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexible and Proactive: Willing to work outside regular hours when required and travel to other office locations as needed.
