About the role and team
Anthony Collins are currently seeking two Legal Assistant's to join our busy Housing Litigation team. One will be based within our Birmingham office which consists of 10 team members and the other within our Manchester office to join a team of 6. 

The work is interesting and challenging and plays a vital role in supporting our lawyers to deliver cost effective and timely outcomes for our social housing clients (housing associations, local authorities and charity landlords).

The work will consist of

  • Conducting disrepair files from letter of claim until assessment of liability; instructing experts, providing disclosure and liaising with client, other side and supervising lawyer.
  • Preparing statements of costs to file and serve before hearings  
  • Completing anti-social behaviour and access possession and injunction court papers from precedents
  • Assisting with disclosure and inspection of documents on issued cases
  • Preparation of electronic trial bundles or enclosures for counsel, supported by our secretarial and office services assistant team  
  • Keeping client management reports updated.
  • Some previous experience of working in a Legal Assistant role is desirable although those wishing to start their Legal Assistant career are also welcome to apply. Law degree essential.
