About the role and team
    • Act as escalation point for the First Line Support team 
    • Mentoring First line Support team, giving training and developing documentation / processes for first line to follow. 
    • Provide support to all users by phone, email and face-to-face, using your knowledge and initiative to troubleshoot and solve issues, or escalate them within the IT department where necessary. 
    • Responsible for picking up alerts from monitoring applications and actioning or escalating to systems team. 
    • Responsible for maintaining Endpoint security 
    • Responsible for maintaining the Operating system and all applications for endpoint devices 
    • Basic assessment of network connectivity with appropriate escalation to the Systems Team 
    • Involvement in wider firm wide IT projects 
    • Assist with IT wide Problem management. 
    • Provide support for all remote users, including setting up remote access on work laptops and personal laptops ensuring all users are trained on how to use remote access  
      • Provide support for all telephony issues, including company mobiles
      • Liaise with the Facilities Manager to distribute IT equipment as appropriate and record what equipment is held by each employee 
      • Liaise with IT suppliers and external IT application support teams 
    • Set up new users, groups and e-mail contacts on the system Deploy endpoint devices - hardware and software 
    • Provide administrative support to the IT department as necessary 
    • Provide support to external clients when using Anthony Collins Solicitors onsite and external based services 
    • Maintain IT equipment  
    • Assist in office moves as necessary and removal of all old equipment. Any other reasonable duty as requested 
About the candidate
 
    • Ideally you will have at least 4 years’ experience in both first and second line support, ideally in a Windows environment including a good understanding of Windows 10, MS Office 2016/365, telephony systems, mobile devices, multi-functional printers, active directory and Anti-virus 
    • Previous Law firm experience would be desirable. 
    • Confident with good interpersonal skills 
    • Action and suggest improvements for all IT processes and procedures. 
    • Good motivation and flexibility to ensure the smooth running of all systems, including the possibility of working early, late, through the lunchtime period or at weekends, with adequate notice 
    • Ability to work well individually as well as within a team. 
    • Actively look to mentor less experienced colleagues and encourage them in the development of their IT skills and knowledge
