We are looking to recruit a 3-10  years PQE lawyer to act for our large and expanding client base of Registered Providers. You'll be a senior member of the Housing Development team consisting of 3 partners and 7 lawyers acting primarily for several top housing associations.

  The team provides a range of high quality legal advice on complex property matters to enable our clients to develop affordable housing for their customers whether that is acquiring s106  affordable housing from developers or acquiring land and constructing housing themselves or through their subsidiaries.  As a senior member of the team you will supervise other junior members of the team, develop strong relationships with clients and have a keen interest in business development as well as playing a role in the future success of the team as a whole.  We can create the right environment and training to nurture your talent to enable you to succeed in the role and attain your future career aspirations.     

Our Social Housing team is one of the largest teams at Anthony Collins based in Birmingham and Manchester providing full legal services from Governance, Finance, Housing Management, Construction and Procurement together with real estate.

Ideally the candidate will have the following experience: 

• A proven track-record in acting for Registered Providers and/or house builders,  developers, land owners, local authorities contracting with Registered Providers
• Good client relationships and a keen interest for business development

• Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine transactions such as conditional and unconditional contracts, options, golden-brick and other affordable housing transactions, back-to-back sales, deeds of easement, infrastructure agreements, overages etc
• A good understanding of affordable housing transactions and how they interlink with plot sales and charging to lenders;
• Ability to supervise and line manage junior members staff
